The Business
The Mission
The Strategy
With dwindling membership, Canada’s History needed to engage the larger history community in new and innovative ways to foster relationships that would lead to new memberships and growth in revenue.
The website was planned as an extension to the magazine, and educational resource for the history community. The website would provide a way of engaging visitors with rich media and while reaching potential new members.
Game-Winning Features
Canada's History bilingual website launched with multimedia extensions to magazine articles, community features including education and travel sections and video features with revenue-generating advertising space and bilingual social media integration.
The rebrand allowed us to develop multimedia companion features for the magazine articles and drove traffic from the magazines to the website. Social media served to connect members to the community with the resources available on the site like history news and book reviews. Creating unique content and bringing to prominence existing History Society events like the Governer Generals History awards fueled growth.
