Orium

Leading enterprise replatforms onto composable commerce.

Orium (formerly Myplanet) is a composable-commerce consultancy that moves enterprise retailers and brands off monolithic platforms and onto headless, best-of-breed architecture. As Delivery Manager, I led replatforming programs for Deckers Brands (Sanuk), OnLogic, Altitude Sports, DXL Group, and Cleveland Clinic, managing distributed, multinational teams and budgets above $2M.

The Role

Turning architecture decisions into programs that ship.

Composable commerce replaces one monolithic platform with a set of specialized services: a headless commerce engine, a content platform, search, and a modern front end. The payoff is flexibility. The risk is coordination. My job was to manage that risk, turning architecture decisions into plans, budgets, and teams that delivered.

The programs spanned very different businesses, from a configurable industrial PC maker to an outdoor retailer to a global footwear brand, each with its own catalogue, markets, stakeholders, and internal teams.

How I Led

One team, one backlog, and no surprises.

I built co-delivery teams that blended each client's engineers with Orium's, working from a shared backlog across North and South American time zones. Proofs of concept came first, validating the architecture against the hardest flows before we scaled commitment, which kept estimates honest and phased rollouts predictable.

Budgets above $2M were managed against clear milestones, with regular reporting to client executives and Orium leadership, so decisions were made early and in the open.
